Why we shouldn't wear uniforms

Arguments over school uniforms have been going on since the beginning of school. But even though I go to school where I have to wear a uniform,I don't think that students should wear them.Bill Clinton said in his 1996 State of the Union Address we should wear uniforms because it would help stop violence caused by clothing and because schools needs to teach good
values and citizenship. Here's why its not needed.

I disagree with Mr.Clinton because we have to wear the same thing everyday. Some people wear designer jackets but it's not 100% of the world wearing designer stuff.Uniforms are helpful so your school will be recognized but it's not as good as wearing something you love to wear.So uniforms are not needed in school. No uniforms help students have more freedom.

When you buy uniforms it causes trouble for parents because they have to pay a extra $50.00 to $70.00 for a uniform. It tells that without uniforms saves money.Teachers and principals think uniforms stop violence but it doesn't because there is always two groups of children, good and bad so uniforms are not needed in school. As In First Impressions Shawna said "Clothes make the woman and the man.Certain people have different personalities so why are we wearing the same thing?

I disagree with President Clinton ,forcing students to wear uniforms is unfair, and it is also untrue that allowing students to wear their own clothes creates violence and stops schools from teaching good values and citizenship.Uniforms don't solve the problems their supporters say they solve.First of all, school uniforms won't stop inequality Violence can still happen with or without uniforms and students will still find ways to compare their clothes. It may be the jacket they wear to school or the sneakers they wear in gym class, but students will find a way to compete.Uniforms also don't stop peer pressure.Just like it says in "Say no to School Uniforms," students will still want to follow fashion trends, even if they can't wear the clothes in class. These are the reasons school uniforms can't solve the problems their supporters say they solve .But there are lots of other reasons students shouldn't have to wear uniforms.

first impressions

One passage I would use in my essay is when Shawna said the clothes make the woman and the man. What Shawna said meant what ever she would wear that will make her look different if she didn't wear what people liked.
